This is a defiler that I have been working on and its on its way to the front lines. I ask a couple of opinion questions in the video and announce a possible commission. Watch out Jawaballs!

Matt, do what makes you happy, we will still follow along and ooo and aww. Personally I like the gray on the claw but think the contrast between the stark gray highlight and black armor is too sharp and need some blending, even just a little.
This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. I know what you are going for but I think even then, black almost always looks dark gray except in the shadows and darkest recesses, even when glossy.
Ooh, a Black Matt Blood Angels Army, sexy! :-)
As for the Defiler, I like the grey claws as well, they just need something to make them look more "used". Maybe some metallic weathering?
