Mr. Black Matt,
My name is splnes and I am a growing ork warlord who hopes to see you in my home town of Austin this July. The reason behind this is because I would like to set a challenge between your lovely painted chaos marines and my own orks! I would hope that you accept my challenge. I have followed your blog over the past year or more and your is one of my favorites. Please let me know... My orks grow restless!

Warlord splnes,
I appreciate the challenge but I must regrettfully decline! The warp is a crazy mistress and takes us all sorts of crazy ways but my wife has been hospitalized for well over a month so I dare not leave! I really want to come down there too, because I had a old friend move their recently and I dont like running from a good fight. ;) Tell your boys to keep grinding those axes until next year. Good luck and thanks for writing!!!

Whoa! Phenomenal! That is the only thing I can say is phenomenal.
I recently finished painting my first complete model. I was feeling pretty good about it until I looked at these model. :-)
Fantastic work once again my friend.
We shall keep you and your wife in our prayers.
Matt, you have developed your own unique style and that is the appex of the vortex of the miniature painter's art. Your work truly fascinates me. Keep it up! and one day please! give us a group shot and an army showcase. I can see you've come a long way from the obliterators that I have chilling as a prize possession in my collection.
I hope everything works out for you and your wife.
Cheers from Ol' Shatta
Tremendous work. The detailing and freehand work here just leaves me speechless.
Tremendous.
It sounds like this has been a pretty brutal year - I hope everything works out for you.

Looks Uber cool
Your work is very cool and different. It's an amazing amount of freehand. Wish I could get to see it live!
I hope for a speedy recovery for your wife and a good dose of good luck all around!
Absolutely beautiful work, I especially admire the banner - great stuff!
Totally awesome. The detail on the shield drew my eye inparticular.
