IT LIVES!!!

You Matt, sounds like this are going well for you and congrats on the second kid on the way. Just a thought, but you need to alternate the arms and legs. When one leg is forward the opposite arm is too, so that arm you wanted to be forward should be back and the one you had back should be forward.

I think they look fine a bit more down, and if it helps with transporting that is fine too.

To answer your question with regard to posing the Dread, my suggestion is to use a combination of magnets and paperclips so that you may remove the arm for transport and storage.

Magnetize the joint and use a paperclip to keep the arm positioned in relation to the trunk of the Dread when he is in play/on display.

Matt! It is important to consider how things on two legs move. When you run your arms and legs are opposite. So the leg that is going back should have the arm that is going forward and the leg that is more forward should have the arm that is going back. Otherwise I think it looks great.

Since the base is the footprint, move the dreadnought on the center of the base. Leave the arms unglued (you can magnetize them but with dreads that never seemed necessary to me) - this way you can point them down during transport, so they don't take up room, and move them up during play. You can also remove them from the model when you get the inevitable weapon destroyed results, as well as replace them with other arms you might get later (I really love having multimeltas on my dreadnought, and no, I've yet to blow up any of my own tanks with them).

As for the dread holding on to the base only by the ankle - I'm guessing you HAVE pinned that, right? Right?

Unknown,
Yes, he has a large pin running through the base all the way up into his shin area. Hopefully sturdy enough. I just relocated my magnets last night so I def, see them being incorporated. I've got a big portion painted and I stripped the chaos symbol off making way for some free hand space. I'll have to get him posted up.
