Ouch, that was harsh!

It looks like the table was suffering from a serious case of NETS.(Not Enough Terrain Syndrome)

Not enough terrain...that's true.

Rough game. some unfortunate rolls on the psychic hood there. dual lash has found its match I guess...

That was a lot of bad roles on psychic hood I see..

First things first – I don’t know about everyone else, but one of the reasons your blog is my favorite, is you show your wins and your losses. A lot of the sites out there show only their wins. So, thanks for the honesty.

I have to agree with the first two posters, that table could have really used a bit more terrain. Having more terrain might – just might have kept your vehicles alive long enough for you to come to grips with your enemy. As it was, you were getting shot to pieces from max range and never had a chance to get into assault.

Dark Angel Librarians are Leadership 9 – right? So on a tie you would have won? Not that you rolls appeared to come close enough for that.

Oh, and I really, really like the Khorne Rhino....phenomenal!

matt you use vallejio colors right i have a question what is better model or game color?

Tim said...

Autarch Andrew I can answer that if it doesn cramp Black Matt's style here...

the two types of vallejo color are very similiar with a couple of differences. The Model Color range is immense, there are a lot more colors than in Game Color.

However, Model Color dries soft so it will easy get chipped if the model isn't coated in varnish or matt-finish. In fact, you can rub the paint off with your fingers!

Game Color on the other hand, is studier. Game Color will not rub off as easily. It dries harder which is why its called Game Color. It will stand up to gaming better than model color.

Hope this helps!

"Hey, what up...? Hold on I've got another call coming in, Black Matt on the line...hold on..."

"Fritz! I'm getting my assed kicked here with the table you set up! More terrain next time!"

Magilla,
if you like the khorne rhino in this, just wait because I have been working on it exclusively. I am already proud of it and I dont have the free hand done.

Oh my! LOL!

That was good Fritz, I was laughing so hard I had to wait to write this reply until the tears stopped coming.

Matt,
Hopefully we will see a closeup Video on it soon!?!?

What codex was he playing?
I did not see Sammael who is needed to make that list legal. Also, you cannot have 8 bikes in a ravenwing squad.

Since he was playing a captain and a librarian i guess he was playing the Codex: Space Marines. I figured it out, as he explained his Land Speeder Squadrons. Dark Angels arent allowed to take 2 Heavy Bolters on one Land Speeder.
I guess most of the Ravenwing players are going with C:Space Marines, because most of the Units are cheaper as in the Dark Angels Codex.

Black Matt said...

Yeah that's true. In the space marine codex, if your captain is on a bike you can field guys on bikes as troops. I like it about the codex.

Yeah I can see that, I just wonder then about the Psychic hood as it is only range 24" in CSM so it is tough to tell where the librarian was on the video.
