If you notice, I cut up a Librarian Dread's close combat weapon and converted it so that it now fits on the right arm. Nothing amazing but it will give the dread some individuality. Ive looked and cannot find a specific 3rd edition picture of a dread with a ball and chain. That picture was the inspiration for this piece. I will be doing two ball and chain Dreadnought close combat weapons. When I first scetched out the idea, I thought that I was going to have to sculpt a lot of the chains that will be required. I believe that I have things under control by using the chains from the chaos vehicle sprues. I had to start looking because I was having problems with sculpting a free standing chain. I have no problems when sculpting a chain that is lying on something, but having to do both sides, or a 360 degree view is beyond my meager skills.

The twist of the torso makes it look like he just noticed something...
...something that is getting ready to take a beating!
Also, at craft stores they sell different thicknesses of "gold" hobby chain...that could be an option.
I'm really, really liking how you cleaned up a lot of the chotchkies. Going to be a great, unique model.
