Obliterator Conversion Giveaway

Well I hope that everyone enjoyed and could understand the Oblit conversion series. This post is to announce that I will be giving away these three oblits. The only thing you have to do is sign up as a black legion disciple,(to follow my blog,) with an avatar over on the right, sit back and wait to win. Dont worry if you have already signed up in the past, the drawing will come from all disciples signed up, (with an avatar,) by June 27th. If you are already signed up to follow with no avatar, get one up to be eligible to win. I will pull all eligible screen names in a hat and randomly draw. I will post it the following week and YOU will be responsible for contacting me with your real name and shipping address. Thats it!
There will be several reminders about this contest in order to stay on top of the blog rolls at the bigger sites. Please bear with me!!!

Someday I plan on starting a Marines force but I couldn't decide if it would be loyalist or chaos. If I win this will push me over!

The only problem with winning these beautiful miniatures, is it would highlight how bad my painting really is!! :-)

Magilla- All good things come with practice, you should have seen what my figures looked like when i first started painting, it looked like i dunked them in the paint pots and said "Eh ...good enough" I am much better since then but still have room to improve. There are also plenty of resources on the internet to help you improve as well such as Jawaballs various how to videos.

Fearmask - I have been playing for a long time. When painting you do get better with practice, however, you need to have some innate ability....I have none!! :-)
I make jokes about it, because painting like Matt's really stands out and makes mine look very inferior. I am hoping that Matt will do some painting videos, I really like the way he paints the dark colors and keeps them dark....hint...hint...Matt!!

Believe it or not black is the easiest and hardest to paint. Make no sense? Its the easiest to do but its hard to make it stand out. Codex grey higlights work well but the figs just dont stand out in a competition unless some weathering or something else is done.

I am not a very good painter but what i mostley do is just take one colour that is not dark but also not to light. And then I highlight it with a lighter coulour and paint in the recesses with a darker colour.
But i recommend vallejo paint for highlighting because it covers up realy well. I know this are just the basics but I hope it will help.
