I love the idea, I love how you're representing the Black Legion's dedication to all 4 gods as undivided despite the nurgle marine build, it's brilliant.
I do have a question, though. I do like the shields, they look awesome on the models... but what are they for? Is that how you're going to remind your opponent that they're T5, Feel No Pain?
Some of the shields came from treasure booty that I won at a tourney and I originally was only going to do a chosen squad. I dont have them on all of the figs so its hard to say thats why I have the shields. I guess my final answer is that I wanted an army that would stand out and I really liked the way this could end up looking! Jawaballs is in my gaming club and he had a lot to do with my motivation. Lets say that I had been resting on past laurels when he knocked me off. I had no plans of doing another army to this level!
Your army looks just great, very creative and alternative! I´ve just started my second army (Chaos) after playing and collecting Eldar for a while and your Shield-marine-conversions convinced me to give my army an archaic look. Just finished some Plague Marines and two Rhinos and the results are really satisfying. For the PM, I used shields from Chaos Knights/Warriors and also gave them classic helmets and possessed body/legs. For the Rhinos I took a Corpse Cart and some green stuff to convert the Rhinos into corpseloaded hearses, putting the bits into the hatch and the zombies at the sites. The Corpse Cart also comes with a nice coachman equiped with a lash that will be converted into a slaanesh sorcerer. I really like the way the army develops, so thx for the inspiration!

Nagamo,
Any chance that you could send me some pics, I would love to see them!
Sure, just check your mailbox.
Hey matt, I was just wondering how you signified your troops as plague marines?
Also, have you got a list of the paints you used for the army? I'm just starting black legion.
