Hang tight everyone!

Well, I havent been posting on a regular because my PC is down.! I am buyiung a new one and I am also remodeling my apartment so hang tight and wait for me. I have some cool battle reports ready to unleash but no way to get them on line, let alone edit them. In other news I am planning on taking out 3 of my champions w/ PF to include a dreadnought. Crazy, I know but the extra fire power with the newly amended INAT FAQ that determines targeting is established before swiveling on the spot, should make them worth the points! I will try them tonight!

Cutting/ Converting Metal Models

I have a question I am sure you can answer. I need to cut the heads off of some pewter models (14 or so) and put on an alternate head. What do you use to cut pewter/metal mini's? I am getting ready to place an order from WarStore, so let me know.

Sorry its taken me a bit to get back to you. I really depends on the model you are trying to cut. Sound stupid?, well the trick is not ruining the rest of the fig and that can be really difficult if you have a lot surrounding the head. There are a few ways to cut metal.
1) with a razor, working it back and forth for hours and then some stiches for you fingers.
2) a sprue cutter. This makes a really nice cut on one side but will destroy the side that's not on the flat side of the cutters. This is a picture of a old metal bit that was lying around. The red arrow points to the side that got distorted and the yellow arrow points to the flush cut. There is no real way, that I know of, to not have one of the sides distorted. The side of your sprue cutters that is flat will give you the flush cut. This is what I use most often since I don't own the other two options.

3) a jewelers saw
4) the last thing is a dremel tool. This might be good if you wanted to save the body of the Fig and it had a lot of things surrounding the head. Hope this helps.

Can all four dark gods get along effectively?

Can everyone get along long enough to slaughter and pillage the Lapdogs of the Emperor! The objective: represent all four gods in troop choices in a 2000pt list. Zerks, Noise Marines, Thousand Sons, and Plague Marines. This is what I have come up with.

What do you guys think? I see my game plan is to rush Black Matt, I mean Abaddon, up in the Land Raiders followed closely by the Defiler/ Dreadnought wave. I keep the Thousand Sons and Sonic Marines back for objectives and move the zerks and the nasty boys up behind the heavy hitters to clean up!

So needless to say I am trying to go to Adepticon since I will be in the homestate that week. I guess that I will just wait and see if I get to play. If I dont get in, I will probably go with Fritz and Jawaballs to BOLSCON. The problem with that is I have stopped putting real serious time into my chaos army and started remoldeling my living room. I paint for a couple hours at night if I am not to tired. Right now I amgoing through squad by squad and getting them up to a certain par. Slaanesh squad is on the table right now and I am dealing with purple weapons. The pics are not very good but its what I got. Any tips on painting purple!???

It was hard to respond to Steve because when I looked at my list I discovered that I made some REALLY gross misjudgements in errors when writing my list. I included a trygon prime with regen for 170 pts, and that doesnt even count the spore mine fiasco. I got confused when changing my list under the gun and made some mistakes. THe point of this post is not to maintain my honest integrity but to question the label of cheater. It is probably the worst label that can be given in our little niche hobby corner of the world. Am I a cheater? I cheated, with or without conscience effort! When do I go from making a mistake to cheating! Is it willfull misrepresentation or when I get something wrong?

How to make your very own Landing Spores

Ok, this will be the last post about these drawn out avocado things, I promise! Not that its like building a bridge, but here is the video on how to make the drop spores yourself. Now build about 8 of them and surround some expensive LandRaiders and bring a Mawloc underneath tthem.

My fellow battle brothers, I have failed you all!!! For this there is no excuse!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brother Captain James came over to my house to look at some electric wiring, and whenever he is around, I always try to have a camera in hand. As he unscrewed the faceplate without turning off the power, I stepped back but without turning on the camera! OHHHHHH I am so sorry that you all missed the hair raising event of BCJ shocking the hell out of himself. Since he was already kneeling down when he shocked himself, he curled into a ball and rolled backwards. My balls jumped into my throat, but return to the relaxed position when I laughed them all the way back down! What made it even better, and more of a crime since it is not on tape, is that he made perfect eye contact with me as he rolled over stiff as a board! I am sorry, INTERWEBS, I have failed to bring you comedy gold!! Instead, enjoy the battle report I taped last week!!!

4 way, ohhhhhh so kinky!

Tonight I am going to play my first 4 way versus game. SOmeone at the club proposed it last week so this week I am taking 1000 pts of chaos to the battlefield.
1 lash sorcerer, what else would I take!
3 termies with combi meltas
2- 7man plague marines with 2 meltas, rhino wiht dozer blades and a combi melta
3 man biker squad with 2 meltas
3- 1 man oblit squads

*** I walked away the winner last night. The organizer had a few special rules we played with. The biggest was being able to shoot into close combat if none of your troops were in the melee. Second and what gave me the win was, any unit could score except if the game was a draw, in that case, who ever had the most troops would claim the objective! That was me and I won! ***
