Candy apple green it is!

My last speed painting post was done so I could introduce everyone to the project and one primary thing that I forgot to ask. What color should I paint the bikes. Hot rod red or Candy apple green? I forgot to ask the question in both the video and the text, but had it there in the title of the youtube video. Well I have made my decision so check it out what I got done in just one day.

Fall 09' tourney date moved! to Nov 21st

Just here to announce that we changed the date for the Fall 09' tournament. It is now on Nov. 21st!! So save this date and forget the other!

Some of the details are as follows, (what I can remember this late at night anyway,) :

-NOV. 21st

-2000 point regular force organisation chart/ no forge world

-no soft scores will go towards overall winners, but will recieve there own award.

-Salvation Army Church located at 16 Sterling Av., White Plains, NY.

-Registration will be up at www.baldandscreaming.com/tournament this friday

-you must prepay using paypal

-$200 for 1st, $150 for 2nd, $100, for 3rd!

-40 person tournament

-chinese raffle with excellent bid fare

I dare anyone in the region to try and come in our house and burn it down, stealing our loot!! If you got the balls, bring it!

I have a kind of a wierd dilemna with an eldar army that was donated to the raffle at the 09' tournament. The army is detailed in the video, and I gotta wonder, is it worth it!

Battle for Salvation Tournament Fall 09'

It looks like its that time of year again! Battle for Salvation will be putting on another quality tournament on November 14th, 2009. We have top of the line terrain, great prizes for the size of the tourney, and a solid proving ground. Registration will be up next Friday, October the 30th. We dont have the site up yet but when we do I will make a post that says were you can register. Pre paying is a must this time since during the last tourney, the drop out rate the day of was around 25%. More detailed information is to follow but you have enough to save the date!

Did I win? Regardless of what happened, we had a great time that day and with reflection, it just seems these guys run their tournaments a little different. It didnt seem that way at the time. It felt like a shady business deal at first, so sorry about the vent at the end but its the only footage I got!

Past Golden Daemon Entries

There are two entries here that I did not post. My very first entry in 2003 made first cut but that was it. I dont have any pictures but in a converted way, it still lives on in my legion. If you have ever noticed my nurgle rhinos, there is on where there is a sacrificed Space marine crucified to the floor with a daemon popping out of his chest. That rhino was the center piece of a "Dual" diorama, complete with Logan Grimnar crashing in to purge his chapter of the heresy that had taken root. Ahhhh trader space wolves!! It just seems right, being werewolves and all.

The second entry is seen every time that you come to Black Matt's Black Legion Blog. My most recent entry was of a undivided terminator squad. The picture right under the title of my blog are the subjects in question, led of course by my avatar.

Every one of my entries has made it to the final cut but none have placed. This is where I have failed. Before anyone tells me not to be so hard on myself and be proud of my accomplishments, I have and am. But when the facts are looked at, I went to win, and did not, period. I have a tendency to not let people blow smoke up my arse. I really don't pay attention to what people say, but rather what they do or don't do!

A note about the the Nurgle lord with beast standing atop the Imperial Fist Dreadnought, I threw it against the wall and smashed it into a million pieces to make a premeditated point. Its destruction was willful. I am not sure the delivery of my idea during the speech was adequate though! I dont regret it one bit!

Khorne Rhino Update

Fellas,
Here is a little update on an almost completed Khorne Rhino. "Why not wait until I am all the way complete?" Well good question but I needed some material for a post and while I have been making steady progress on the models, I havent been taking the time to concentrate on filming anything. On each of the smoke stacks, I have a Hellblade that will be hanging on the side without the handle.
By the way, I am playing in a small 1500 pt tourney over at Toywiz across the river! What should I play? With the Khorne themed evening I am leaning that way!!!!!
***EDIT*** Yeah I ended up going with Khorne for the most part. I know, I know, real different from my usual!

The Thousand Sons of Magnus attack Fenris

All right boys and germs, I had a GREAT game against my friend, Fightclub. He called me out since I said the Space Wolves were nothing to worry about. He set the time and place and we played 2000 pts in a standard mission. I played a fluff list since Shaun hasnt played 5th edition a whole lot and also since this was his first time playing the Wolves of Fenris. I thought it fitting to play against him with a Thousand Sons army that I hadnt been able to get on the table since Fritz gifted it to me a while ago. To be honest I had absolutely no interest in playing Tzeench. I have to admit that will probably change since I had a really good game. Is it competitive? That, I think would depend on your definition. I wont win any big tourneys but I am not a door mat by any means. My 4+ invul. saves, Bolt of Change, and AP 3 bolters held their own in this game against the wolves. Anyway, before I get into specifics about that, here are the lists.

It was really a funny thing!!! I have an EPIC, 30+ minute video battle report that you can watch if you want. I think there are a few people who like watching them, so if its your cup o tea, here you go. A few of the highlights include the Space Wolves as being the more powerful psyckers and the Thousand SOns beating the Space Wolves in several combats. The best moment of the game was turning Njal into a Chaos Spawn on the 8 or 9th try. It does matter how many tries it took, he is a mewling spawn. FOR THE GLORY OF CHAOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well do you guys remember my space wussies, I mean space wolves post? The one that I said these dogs in heat are nothing to be afraid of! Well I got called out so I plan on playing against them this Saturday for at least one game. I have been actually worried about this so I got my opponent to play against me twice. Once with my dual lash tourney list and once with a fluffy list. Anyone here a fan of the Horus Heresy story line? And, out of those people, who knows what books are released next? Saying that, what chaos army would be appropriate to bath in the blood of bitches? I was gifted such an army by Fritz 40K over at Way of Saimhann. Look for a battle report Monday or soon after!!!
